School T-Shirt Freebies :)

A few weeks ago I made some t-shirts for school so I thought I would share what I came up with.

The designs are free, but you have to make the shirts :)  Don't worry - it's SUPER easy!!!  All you need are white t-shirts and t-shirt transfer paper.  I got a pack of three heavyweight t-shirts at Michaels.  I used a coupon and just paid a few bucks.  You can get the transfer paper at Walmart, Target, Staples, etc....

I have the images all ready to print onto the transfer paper - the images have to be flipped (mirror image) to transfer properly so print them out just the way they are!  I teach First grade but I added some Kindergarten, Second and Third grade designs too!

Click on the image below to download the printable:

If you don't want to make a shirt, these would be great on totebags, aprons, etc!

After I made these, my daughter and her BFF wanted me to make them matching Volleyball outfits so I thought I'd post a picture of that for fun :)

Have a GREAT weekend!

  20. Just added Third grade for you :)

  21. It should already be flipped (mirror image). I checked it and it appears that way to me - check it again and let me know if something happened to it.

  22. So simple! You are wonderful! :) How do they hold up when you wash them?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wash inside out in cold. I try to remember to hang them dry (I've made some before), but sometimes forget. The dryer can make the image crack after awhile. They do fade over time. They last a good while though :)

  26. Mrs. Gilchrist, do you happen to have the design not flipped? I was thinking of trying it on a dark shirt and I know the dark transfers don't have to be flipped. Thanks so much for doing these designs. You Rock!

  32. These are sooo cute! Unfortunately I teach TP (transitional primary)--does anyone know where there might be a TP site or blogger. I am new to this all! I don't know how much work this involves, but would you consider making a TP ricks transfer? Thanks, Fran

  33. Super excited to make the t-shirts. I just printed the kindergarten Rocks. The stencil seems smaller than the one first grade one in the photo. (I realize Kinder. is one long word vs. first grade is two words but it still seems smaller.) When printed Kinder. rocks measures approx. 4x6 is that correct or did I do something wrong?
    thanks~Amy in Alaska

  34. Amy - That doesn't sound right. It should have printed on a full sheet (8.5 x 11). Did you download the pdf from google docs? I just tried it and it worked right for me. I'm thinking that you may have done something other that download the original pdf or if so, maybe google docs was on the fritz at the time (that happens occasionally).

Thanks again, I love how they turned out (well except for my messed up one :)

  53. I love these. Thanks so much for sharing. I was wondering how you got yours to look so good. I am using a transfer paper, but you can see all the white around it. Did you actually cut all around every little piece of the transfer paper or am I just using the wrong kind. This is my first try at this. :)
