End of Year Teacher Gifts and Graduation Gifts!

Sunday, April 24, 2016 No comments

I've got a few new Planner Cover Sets up in my Etsy shop that are PERFECT for end of year Teacher and Graduation Gifts!  I am "planning" to get a few Happy Planners for graduation gifts and they are PERFECT gifts - they start in July and continue for 18 months, which is not only great for Teachers to get through the summer and following school year, but also new graduates, whether they are going off to college or off to work.  Click on the picture above or click here to see them (plus MANY more designs).  OR, instead of a planner, all of the designs can be made into personalized notebooks or printable planner covers!

Most designs in my shop can be made into planner covers, notebooks or printable binder covers.

Mother's Day FREEBIES!

I've got two MORE freebies to share:

Take this printable and just add a paint handprint to make a beautiful Mother's Day keepsake!  Print as many copies as you need!  These work best when printed on cardstock because of the paint.

I also have this Mother's Day "Subway Art" printable.  This can be printed and given as-is or pair it with a dollar store frame!  This printable fits an 8x10 frame.

Just click on the pictures to download either or both of these for FREE!

Don't forget!  I also have this great end of year FREEBIE too.....

Click on the pictures to snag it!

END OF YEAR FREEBIE: Summer Bookmark and matching Reading Log Sets!

Tuesday, April 28, 2015 No comments
I've got a fun new End of Year Freebie:

Five fun characters to choose from:  Olaf from Frozen, Mike from Monster's Inc., Cinderella (from Cinderella), a minion from Despicable Me, and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story.

Just print and cut (bookmarks are four to a page).  I played around and added ribbon to the tops of some of them.  I also laminated some of them to make them sturdier.

I folded the reading logs and placed it along with the bookmark in a clear bag to hand out.

Just click on any of the pictures or CLICK HERE to get this FREEBIE!

End of Year Treats :) Bookworms Freebie and Tutorial

Saw this on Pinterest....

and thought it was the cutest idea to include with my End of Year gifts to my students.

I came up with this:

Bag Toppers are pretty simple to make, but I have a few tricks to make it easier.  If you'd like a copy of the toppers I made, click on the printable below to download the PDF:

These are made to fit snack-sized baggies that are 6.5" wide.

This is important - if your print straight from the Google Docs link above, deselect the "Fit to Page" button!  Make sure this button is not selected or the toppers will print too small for the baggies.

If you downloaded the link and saved it, make sure you have the "Actual Size" button selected to print when printing the PDF.  (Sometimes it automatically changes to "Shrink Oversized Pages" and you don't want it to do that or it won't fit the baggie).

After printing, I like to score the fold lines prior to cutting.  This is optional and just makes them easier to fold.  I have a scoring board at home, but if you do not, you can use a ruler, something with a dull edge like a craft stick and a soft area to put the paper on - like a mouse pad or a piece of foam, as shown below.

Next cut out the toppers on the green solid line.  Then you'll just need some gummy worms to put in the baggies.  Attach the toppers to the baggie with a few staples and your all set!

Make sure to check out my Summer Reading printable on Teachers Pay Teachers to hand out with the Bookworm treats.  Use this to encourage your students to READ this Summer!

Smarties Certificates

Three. More. Days.

:)  Even better than that.....the last three days are all half days!!!  But don't worry, we don't get the afternoons free to do things like, well PACK UP.  We'll have meetings and other stuff to do.  We can pack up on our own time, right?  I spent my Saturday at school yesterday.  I was there from 10:00 to 4:30 packing.  I had to leave at 4:30 and left my room looking like a tornado hit so I'll be back today to get it presentable for tomorrow.  We are not allowed to leave any of our (personal) furniture in our classes over the summer, nor or we allowed to leave anything on the book shelves or counters.  In other words, I have to move out and bring multiple car loads of furniture (book cases, chairs, HUGE teacher easel/cart, storage carts, etc) and other stuff home because there is no where near enough cabinet space (which is where you have to put everything) in our classrooms.  I'll stop venting now :)

Anyway, between moving my class and then moving things in my home around to make room to move my classroom in, I made up a little end-of-year certificate for my students.  I saw some cute certificates on TPT, but I would have to decide who was the best reader, best speller, etc.... and I don't like to do that because that can cause problems :)  Plus, its just too darn hard to choose - they are all awesome kids!!!  I found these "Smarties" candies at the dollar store.  These are in pouches.  I made up some certificates to go with them.
The certificates will work with either type of Smarties - in the pouches or the traditional Smarties in a roll.  Click below if you would like to download the certificates.  Just write in the student's name in the middle and your name and date at the bottom and attach a candy pouch or roll to the bottom corner.

The color is bad in this photo, but here is what they look like when the candy is attached:

Happy Sunday!
