Well, the countdown is on! 13 more school days until winter break for us! This is a busy time for planning...things you HAVE to do, things you WANT to do (have to sneak those in!). I talk about about Christmas, Santa, etc... in our classroom. The students would anyway if I didn't. I am very sensitive to students that don't celebrate but also sort of feel that they need to have the "schema" so it's not a forbidden subject in my class. I know some schools or teachers don't like to get into that it therefore celebrate "holidays". That's understandable. Anyway, I've got both covered for you :) I have a Christmas Read, Trace, Write and Draw and a December Read, Write, Trace and Draw.
