Halloween! Halloween Sight Words FREEBIE and Games for Sight Words, CVC Words and CVCe Words!

I've also added a new Halloween SIGHT WORDS Tic Tac Toe game to my store!  This is also only $2.00 and it includes word lists from the Pre-Primer, Primer, First Grade, and Second Grade Dolch Sight Word lists!!!  That's a whole lot of differentiation!  These games are great for small group lessons (Guided Reading), Independent Reading Centers, and RTI/Intervention!

I've got a little freebie for you too!  I've really got Halloween on the brain!  Here's a Hidden Sight Word printable.  Students will need a magnifying glass (or hand lens) to find the ten sight words hidden in the picture.  They will write the sight word next to the corresponding number (each word has a number next to it in the picture).  The printable and an answer key are included.  Click on the picture below to download this from Google Docs (I think it's called Google Drive now?).

Word Family Fun! On sale for a short time!

I've got a new product to share.  Word Family Houses!  

This product is $3.00 but I have it on sale for $2.00 through Sunday (7/27/14).

There are 29 pages and the kit contains 5 unique word family house pictures, 15 word family heading cards (these go on the roof of the house), 4 CVC word cards and 4 CCVC words for each word family - 120 cards total. (These are the “windows” of the house.)

The following 15 word families are included:
ab, an, at, ed, en, et, ig, ip, it, og, op, ot, ub, ug, and un.

Each word family also has a worksheet for students to write the word family words and to think of additional words. There are two sets of worksheets, one to print a full copy that covers three word families of each medial vowel sound, or one sheet to cut into thirds (cut lines are included), to give students one word family at a time.

You can differentiate your instruction by using either the CVC or CCVC cards to meet the needs of your students or grade level.

Candy Land - CVC Words

I saw an idea for using the game Candy Land with sight words so I went out to Target yesterday and picked one up.  After I finished writing sight words on all of the cards, I decided I wanted a version for my lower students who are still having difficulty with sight word recognition so I made a CVC word version.  Instead of buying another game, I made new cards to use with the game board and pieces.
