End Of Year Teacher Gifts .....& a proud mommy moment :)

It's time for my annual 'End of Year Teacher Gifts' post :)  I made them this year!  I love to do all types of crafts, including sewing - even though I'm not the greatest at it.  I like simple sewing projects, like this:

These are key fobs for my daughter's teachers.  (I can't believe she just finished her first year of HIGH SCHOOL!)  Anyway, the school color is maroon so I was lucky to find some maroon fabric that I liked.  I embroidered the teachers' initials to personalize them.

I found these cute little boxes at Hobby Lobby (they are really small, you can't tell from the photo).  My daughter and I got them all packed up and ready to go!  I still have to get a few more gifts for her male teachers, I didn't think they would like one of these key fobs :)  Maybe a sweet treat???  Still thinking about it!

And speaking of my daughter, I might just have to brag for a moment....If you've ever read my bio in the top corner of my blog, you will see that I am a Volleyball Mom!  My (soon to be) 15 year old, 6'1" girl has been playing volleyball for the last 5 years. She plays varsity VB at her high school and has played travel/club volleyball for 4 years.  She plays year round, January - June on her travel team, high school practice in July, and high school season August - December.  Her club/travel team is currently ranked #1 in the state of Florida (out of 165 teams in the 15 year old division).  They have won numerous tournaments and they also just won a bid to the JUNIOR OLYMPICS next month in New Orleans - which is AMAZING!  I am so proud of her and all of her accomplishments (on and off the court!).  It has been another extremely hectic year of traveling several weekends each month in and out of the state, diving for HOURS or flying home at 10 pm and being at school on time Monday mornings.  Practice 3-4 times a week at night (sometimes more) - leaving home at 6 and getting home at 9:45 pm.  So much work, so much stress on all of us, but it just seems to pay off in the end!  I am SO READY for summer!!!!!

  1. CONGRATS to your daughter and her mommy for all your hard work... WOW, I don't know how you do it... This was my first year of teaching as I recently changed careers and it has been extremely overwhelming... I often got home between 8 & 9pm as well, and I'm not even a sports mom! God bless your family and enjoy your well deserved vacation! :)
