Checking For Understanding Freebie

We use these hand symbols (thumbs up & sideways thumb) for Daily Five to check behavior but I thought I would incorporate them to also give me a super quick way to check for understanding.  If you have any quick ideas, Marzano strategies or other ways to check for understanding I would LOVE to hear them.   If you'd like a copy, click on the picture below to download.

Happy Halloween!

  2. I do! I have my kids do 1, 2, or 3 fingers. 1 finger means you are ready to work with no help. 2 fingers means you have one little question. 3 means you won't be able to start until the teacher comes to see you. I use it most often during math and it works pretty great.
